The Lore
In the center of the High Inquisitor’s courtyard stands the Lady of Secrets. She does not cover her eyes in shame, but in protection; legend says her gaze is so piercing that any who look into her eyes would see the exact moment of their own death. The water in this ring is said to be “Heavy Water,” magically dense and perfectly still, flowing only when a secret is whispered into the basin. It serves as a reminder to the city’s elites that some truths are too bright to be looked upon directly.
